considerably reduced numbers. A recent addition is Dharani, shown in the photo on the left.

Nisha
In the photo above, shes being lovingly carried by nisha.
Nisha herself was brought to us as a new-born baby 14 year ago.she is one of several teenagers of our Childrens Home family.A delayed-growth child Nisha (shown below in school uniform) still stuggles to do well in school but is improving year after year.

In march two hosur town police women brought to Anantha Asharam a 2 year old girl with a fractured arm and wounds all over her body and crying with unbearable pain. She had been found on a roadside by a passerby.from the child they could gather that she and her mother ran away from home. The father then threw the child out on the street.
The child, chitra, received expert medical care at our hospital and loving care from our ch.Home staff for about a week. Her mother,on learning her daughter was with us,came and took her home-but hopefully not to the drunkard father.
We wear happy we could restore a healed child to a very grateful mother.
Picture on the right shows chitra recovering from her injuries in our hospital
The childrens Home is thus continuing to provide the kind of care and nurture destitute children need.although its size is at present relatively small, because of its composition (about half of them are school-going kids),the type of care they need has become more educational and motivational. To meet this need, the responsibilities of the present supervisors include tuition-giving and promoting the childrens study habits.
The caregivers challenging work includes caring for special-needs children like the ones shown on the right.
